The following Venn with sentence prompts was developed and used by Jeanette Gordon to compare and contrast the Audiolingual Method with the Natural Approach. Each team in class was given one aspect of comparison. If desired, they could use the sentence prompts to describe the differences. The addition of the sentence prompts is to make the point that modeling language helps promote language development for ELLs and all learners.
